When we start thinking about bringing people to Christ, we need a good model to learn from. Matthew uses Isaiah’s prophecy about Jesus to show how he is the true model for soul winning. He is described as Servant, Spirit Anointed and Savior. His life models the reason for coming to earth in the first place. Luke 19:10
“For the son of man has come to seek and to save the lost”.
What is evangelism? One man wrote; Evangelism is “The Son of God.”
Evangelism is a combination of obedience and compassion.
- Jesus wept over the cities of his day.
- Paul, “wished myself accursed from Christ for my brethren.
- Jesus said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
If we’re not fishing, we’re not following.
If we’re not burdened for the lost there is something wrong between us and the Lord.
Satan makes think all is well, but outside the aquarium of the church his sharks seeking whom they may devour. Mean time we are tied down with the saved taking care of the saved, instead of reaching the lost.
Evangelism should be top priority in the church. To win souls is our business.
Evangelism is the lifeline and the blood line of the church. Without winning souls the local church is on a path of disobedience and a slow march toward death. Evangelism is our imperative. It’s operation everything, we must win the lost at any cost.

Choosing to use volunteers for your building project is a noble decision. The money saved on labor can be extraordinary in many cases providing additional resources for other ministries.
It is important to select a construction plan that is volunteer friendly and cost effective. There are few men like Guy Thomas that can help navigate the building process and best practices for volunteer recruiting. Guy has been on both sides of church project development leading 8 churches he pastored to construct new buildings and has worked with over 100 volunteer teams over the last 50 years.
Providing opportunities for fellow believers to engage in church construction creates a new energy in the host church and the volunteer teams. Guy has the experience and passion to help you with both.
Bro. Guy has a unique ministry that’s a big hit with visitors to Lake of the Ozarks. On some busy summer days he sets up his tent and multiple choice buzzer game – with questions about the local area – next to our store. As they test their knowledge, it’s a great way for him to break the ice and engage people in conversation. This often leads to an opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus or extend an offer to pray with them. At the very least, a seed is planted as they often leave with a tract, booklet or some small remembrance of their stop. It’s a great ministry and we very much appreciate the work he does in our tourist community.
